Central Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 1st December, 2016 protesting a confusing report of Bengali Daily ‘Prothom Alo’ on 1st December titled ÒRvgvqv‡Zi †bZ…‡Z¡ eo IjUcvjU n‡”QÓ (A major reshuffle in Jamaat leadership).

“Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has assigned the leaders of the organization in different party posts and position according to the party constitution through proper consultation. So no question is emanated of violating the party constitution. Reported issue of degradation is also baseless. So there is no chance of creating any confusion in this regard.

The report alleged about the some growing resentment or mixed reaction within the party, which is not true at all. In this party, no one has the avarice for holding party position. All are performing duties here for attaining the satisfaction of Almighty Allah. But the aforesaid report of Daily Prothom Alo has tried to evaluate this fact in a perplexing manner. Such a kind of confusing approach is not justified. The organizational activities of Jamaat-e-Islami are transparent always.

So I am urging the authority of Daily Prothom Alo not to carry such ill effort to create more confusion in regards to the organizational activities of Jamaat-e-Islami and expecting that they would publish this rejoinder properly to lessen the mass confusion.”
