Over 130 people killed in a rail accident in India; Professor Mujib condoles

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 21st November, 2016 expressing deep concern as over 130 passengers have been killed and more than 200 people became injured in rail accident in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh in India.

“We are deeply shocked and worried as we came to know that over 130 passengers have been killed and more than 200 people became injured in rail accident in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh in India.

I hope that the government of India would undertake necessary and effective steps after conducting a proper and impartial investigation in this regard. I am extending my deep sympathy to the victim families, injured peoples and the government and the people of India for these huge casualties and praying for the quick recovery of the injury victims.”
