Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament, Mia Golam Porwar issued a statement today, on 18 December calling for prayers for the successful surgery and speedy recovery of Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha and an uncompromising hero of the July Revolution.

In the statement, he said that Sharif Osman Hadi, who was seriously injured in a gunshot by miscreants, is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition at a hospital in Singapore. A decision has been taken to perform surgery on his head.

He further said, “I pray to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of Osman Hadi’s surgery and for his speedy recovery. At the same time, I earnestly call upon the leaders and activists at all levels of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, as well as the people of the country irrespective of party affiliation or opinion, to offer prayers to the Almighty Allah for the success of his surgery and his quick recovery.”
