Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar in a statement issued on 2 September, strongly condemning the incident in which miscreants brutally beat and severely injured valiant freedom fighter Mr. Khandakar Lutfar Rahman, President of a faction of the Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA). He said, “I strongly condemn this terrorist attack and express my sympathy towards him. At the same time, I pray to Almighty Allah for his swift recovery.”

He further said, “I urge the concerned authorities to immediately arrest the attackers and also to take legal action against them.”
