Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 14th December, 2017 expressing deep concern as the city of New York of United States of America has come under terrorist attack once again on last 11th December.

“The latest terrorist attack which has taken place in New York On 11th December, committed by an individual with no respect for human life. A suspected Bangladeshi national namely Akayed Ullah was allegedly involved with this terror attack which left 3 innocent civilians injured.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami always takes position against terrorism. There is no room for terrorism in Islam. This kind of terrorist attack is a threat to the democracy and rule of law. We strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack in New York and demand fair trial of the terrorists whoever he is.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami extends its profound sympathies to the victims of this incident and their respective family members.”
