On 29 September (Monday) at 9:00 a.m., the Honorable Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, Ms. Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee, paid a courtesy call on the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at his office in Bashundhara. She was accompanied by the Embassy’s Counselor, Mr. Jigdrel Y Tshering. The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

During the meeting, they held an open discussion on various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Bhutan. They expressed firm commitment to continue strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as the process of development and progress in the future.

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, and Jamaat Ameer’s Foreign Affairs Advisor, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were also present in the meeting.
