His Excellency Mr. Gabriel Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru, the Ambassador of Spain to Bangladesh, met with Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in a courtesy call at the Bashundhara office in the capital on Sunday, September 28, at 9:00 a.m.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador inquired about the health co+ndition of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and wished him a full recovery.

The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere. During the discussion, they exchanged views on the overall situation prevailing in Bangladesh, bilateral relations and investment between Bangladesh and Spain, and matters of international relations and mutual interests. They expressed optimism that Spain’s strong support for Bangladesh will continue in the future. At the same time, they hoped that Spanish investment in Bangladesh would further increase in the days ahead.

On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, party's Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Dhaka City North Jamaat’s Medical Thana Ameer Dr. S.M. Khaliduzzaman, and Jamaat Ameer’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present during the meeting.
