A meeting of the Central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held with party’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman in the chair. The meeting expressed deep concern over the ongoing genocide and brutalities of the Israeli forces in Gaza and subsequently adopted the following proposal:

“Central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is expressing deep concern over the ongoing genocide and brutalities of the Israeli forces in Gaza for last 3 months. The Gaza hospitals are full of dead bodies now. The Israeli forces do not pay heed to the norms and rules of war. They have killed more than 25 thousand civilians in Gaza. Most of them are women and babies. More than 62 thousand people became injured in the Israeli attacks so far. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have taken refuge in different shelter centers, hospitals, school, college, Madrasa, Mosque and churches. The barbaric Israeli forces have bombarded against those civilian structures as well. They are demolishing the Palestinian homes. The Gaza residents are suffering terribly in want of food, medicines, health kits and safe drinking water. The Palestinians are passing days in starvation. Thousands of Palestinians are dying for having no treatment. We do not have the words to condemn such atrocities of the Israeli forces.

The occupying Israeli forces are paying no heed to the global calls including the United Nations. Ignoring the international concerns, they are continuing the wars and destroyed the Muslims indiscriminately. Israeli actions are shameful for the humanity. Defying the global call for immediate ceasefire, the aggressor forces have been disregarding the international agencies. Due to their stubborn attitude, entire Arab world is facing war now. Despite the repeated call of the United Nations, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu are not agreeing to bring an end to this war. The Israeli forces have turned the entire Gaza into debris. 

Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura is urging the United Nations, OIC, international corners and other democratic states of the world, to stop ongoing Israeli attacks, to convey humanitarian support and relief to the Palestinians and ultimately for resolving the Palestine crisis. Besides, the Majlish-e-Shura is calling upon all humanitarian organizations and nations to take stand by the side of the Palestine and Gaza.

Central Majlish-e-Shura is praying to Allah for accepting the martyrdoms of the Palestinians and also for quick recovery of the injured. In addition, the Majlish-e-Shura is extending sympathy to the families who have lost their near ones and other belongings.
