Dhaka city South Jamaat’s conference with the patrons and well-wishers held

We want to establish the Quranic rule through humanitarian services

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former member of parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman said today’s conference is organized for promoting Zakat which is very significant for this Muslim-majority country. Almighty Allah emphasizes giving Zakat for purifying wealth. We are used to receiving your donations and Zakat and based on such assistance, Jamaat-e-Islami works for the underprivileged people. We want to establish the Quranic rule through humanitarian services. Whatever is spent for the cause of Allah, will bring ultimate salvation for a believer in the hereafter. Spending for the cause of Allah is similar to a glorified deposit.

He said this while addressing a conference for the donors and patrons as the chief guest today. Dhaka city south Jamaat organized the program. Jamaat’s central executive committee member, and Dhaka city south Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the program which was hosted by city Secretary and central working committee member Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud. Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani, central Majlish-e-Shura member Dhaka city south Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdus Sabur Fakir and Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin and Assistant Secretary Muhammad Delawar Hossain addressed the program. A report on the social activities which have been implemented by Dhaka city south Jamaat in 2022 was presented at the conference.

Professor Mujib said I pray to Allah for all the donors. May Allah give you barakah. Jamaat’s social activities with your Zakat are being operated maintaining the 8 provisions. Dhaka city south already undertook major initiatives to facilitate social services like establishing hospitals, ambulance services, burying the dead bodies, serving the patients, Qardh-e-Hasana, rehabilitation, employment for the grassroots people and etc. We all came into this world to take part in tests. Whoever will pass these tests will be rewarded and whoever will fail will be punished. The major test among all tests is wealth management. We should be evaluated on how we are collecting this wealth and how will we spend it. Allah knows that inherently people want to store their wealth and money and this is why He urged them to spend wholeheartedly.

Nurul Islam Bulbul said the deprived communities have their right to the wealth of the affluent sections. The Prophet (peace be upon Him) said, whoever does not show mercy to other people, Allah will not be merciful to him. Describing the social welfare activities of Dhaka city south Jamaat, he said, we have done so many things for the impoverished people and we are interested to continue more elaborately in future. So, we are expecting that by extending Zakat donations, you will help us to implement our programs. You may keep trust on us. We will sincerely try to spend your Zakat sincerely and honestly.

Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani drew the attention of the donors about the welfare activities of Jamaat-e-Islami and urged them to extend the hand of cooperation.

Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, we are not an as usual political party. We are playing roles remaining by the side of the people for the benefit of the people and simultaneously to ensure our salvation in the hereafter. We are working for promoting justice and humanity. I am cordially urging our donors, patrons and well-wishers to help us in implementing these noble initiatives.
