Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar has issued the following message of condolence on 14 February 2020 at the death of Khelafat Majlish’s central joint Secretary and Dhaka city unit President Sheikh Golam Asgar.

In the message Professor Mia Golam Porwar stated that, Sheikh Golam Asgar was a dedicated personality for the Islamic movement in Bangladesh. His demise is major loss for the Islamic movement. I am deeply saddened over his death. I am seeking salvation for his departed soul and extending deep sympathy to his mournful family. I am praying for them. May Allah help them to hold patience in this painful period of time.
