-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said the poor and impoverished people are very close to us. They have rights upon us. So, as a believer we should try to fulfill their rights. A person should not be remained poor throughout his life. But to bring a change in life, self-reliance is a must. The solvent quarters should come forward to upgrade the lives of the labors by creating new employment opportunities.

Jamaat Ameer said this while distributing rickshaw and van among the working class in Pathantula area of the Sylhet city on Tuesday. Jamaat’s central working committee member and Sylhet city Ameer Fakhrul Islam presided over the event which was hosted by city secretary Shahjahan Ali. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahasanul Mahabub Zubayer and Dhaka north city Ameer Selim Uddin were present on the occasions as the special guests.

Jamaat Ameer said, we want to establish justice at all stages of the society. We want to build a self-reliant Bangladesh. But our such efforts are disliked by some quarters. This is why, our party leaders have been executed, our activists have been murdered, or made crippled. We had to face unprecedented tortures and repression. But defying all those repressions, we are still on the field and will be by the side of the people in future insha Allah. Today’s beneficiaries will arrange similar opportunities for other poor brothers then they will be rewarded both in this world and the hereafter.

Among others, Sylhet city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Suhel Ahmad, Mufti Ali Haidar, Maulana Alauddin, Sylhet city corporation’s 7th number ward councilor Sayeed Mohammad Abdullah and 37 number ward councilor Mohammad Riaz Mia, Sylhet city Chhatrashibir president Sharif Mahmud and Shahjalal University unit Chhatrashibir president Zahir Uddin Shipon were present at that time.
