Jamaat is sincerely trying to resolve people’s sufferings despite its limited capacities, says Professor Mujib

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, Jamaat-e-Islami is not an ordinary political party. Along with all the general activities, this party has been working relentlessly to ensure the welfare of the people.

Jamaat-e-Islami is a systematic, democratic, progressive and ideological political party. Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to work for the benefit of the people. As a part of the same ideological perspective, we have come here today to extend our sympathy and empathy to those people, who have lost their everything in recent fire accident in Mirpur Cholontika slum area.

He said this while distributing financial assistance among the victims today. Among others, Dhaka city North unit Jamaat Ameer and party’s central executive committee member Muhammad Salim Uddin, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka city North Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Dhaka north city Jamaat’s working committee member Engineer Ghulam Mostofa and Maulana Delwar Hossain, Roopnagar Thana Ameer Nasir Uddin and Secretary Abu Hanif were present on the occasion.

Professor Mujib said, it is responsibility of the government to resolve the crisis of the citizens. But as the welfare state is not established yet, the citizens are being deprived from state's welfare management. It is not possible for a party to act like the state apparatus. Though we have desire to serve people but our capacity is so limited. However, Jamaat-e-Islami has been trying to help and serve people as much it can.

We would be pleased and satisfied if people are benefited from such simple efforts. But actually, there is no alternative but establishing a welfare state to resolve the crises of the people. As such, he urged all to get united to establish that desired welfare state in the light of Islam.
