Maulana Ghulam Subhan Siddique dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Renowned religious scholar, Islamic thinker and author Maulana Ghulam Subhan Siddique has died in his own residence, situated in Kalshi of Mirpur this dawn. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He was 77. He has left 5 sons, 3 daughters and many other relatives. He was the elder brother of Mrs. Nurunnesa Siddiqa, who is discharging duties as the acting secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami women wing.

Namaj-e-Janaja (funeral prayer) of Maulana Ghulam Subhan Siddique was held after the Juhr Prayer in the Kalshi Jame Mosque. Later, he was buried in the Kalshi graveyard. Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Mujibur Rahman, Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Dhaka city North Jamaat Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim and many others attended the Namaj-e-Janaja. Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Abdul Halim led the prayer.

Message of condolence

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following message of condolence on 16 July 2019 at the death of Maulana Ghulam Subhan Siddique.

In his condolence message, Jamaat Ameer stated that Maulana Ghulam Subhan Sidduque was a great author. He has served the nation and the countrymen through his noble writings. May Allah accept all his contributions to bless him with Jannah.

I am extending my deep sympathy to his mournful family members and praying for them so that they can hold patience in this painful period of time.
