Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following message of condolence on 21 April 2019 as bomb blasts at three churches and four hotels in Sri Lanka killed more than 200 people and wounded more than 500.

“I am deeply shocked as bomb blasts at three churches and four hotels in Sri Lanka killed more than 200 people and wounded more than 500.

Incidents like bomb blasts are really threat to the world peace and stability. I hope and believe that the government of Sri Lanka would investigate into the incident properly in order to ensure exemplary punishment of the attackers.

I am extending sympathy to the mournful families who have lost their near ones in these blasts and expecting quick recovery of the injured.
