Central Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 15 December 2018 protesting and gainsaying the baseless and false report of Daily Janakantha which termed Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman as the mastermind behind activating the bombers and also termed Jamaat and Chhatrashibir activists as bombers.

The content of the report of Daily Janakantha is totally false. I am sincerely protesting and condemning such false and baseless report.

This report has termed Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman as the mastermind behind activating the bombers and also termed Jamaat and Chhatrashibir activists as bombers. Daily Janakantha has been making propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir for long days. Today’s report is the continuation of such propaganda. Nobody believes the concocted report of Daily Janakantha anymore.  

Therefore, I am urging the authorities of Daily Janakantha not to continue such baseless propaganda in the upcoming days.
