Rowshan Aara Sayeed dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Veteran female member of Dhaka city South unit, mother-in-law of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Working Committee member and party’s organizing secretary and former Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Matiur Rahman Akanda and mother of Islami Chhatrishangstha’s former Central President Advocate Sabikunnahar Munni and the grandmother for Shaheed Saifullah Muhammad Masum, the martyr of 28 October tragedy, Mrs. Rowshan Aara Sayeed has died on 12th October evening at the age of 73 due to some old age complications. Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. She has left two sons, 6 daughters and many other relatives. Her first funeral prayer was held this dawn at Mayakanon Jame Mosque in Dhaka. Her second Janaja was held at 8 in the morning at Shahjahanpur of the capital. Her son-in-law Matiur Rahman Akanda led the prayer. Later she was buried in the Shahjahanpur graveyard. Among others, Jamaat’s central executive committee member Maulana Abdul Halim, party’s central working committee member and Dhaka city South unit Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Monjurul Islam Bhuiyan, working committee member of Dhaka city South Abu Fahim, Shamsur Rahman, Advocate Kamal Uddin, Md. Kamal Hossen and former central president of Islami Chhatrashibir Abdul Zabbar attended the funeral prayer.

Message of Condolence

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmad issued the following message of condolence on 12th October 2018 expressing deep shock at the death of Rowshan Aara Sayeed.

At the condolence message, Rawshan Aara Sayeed was a dedicated activist of Islamic movement. She has worked hard throughout his life for the circulation and propagation of Islam.

May Allah bless her with mercy and forgiveness and provide her due security. May Allah accept her as a distinguished guest and expand her graveyard. May Allah convert all his vices into pieties. May Allah accept his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah.

He also extended his deep sympathy to his mournful families. May Allah bless them with patience so that they can endure the shock of this mournful period.
