384 people killed after tsunami, quake in Indonesia; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 29th September 2018 expressing deep shock and condolence as 384 people killed in the earthquake and tsunami in Palu, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on 28th September.

“I, personally and on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, extending deep condolence to the people and government of Indonesia as 384 people killed in the earthquake and tsunami in Palu, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on 28th September. This natural disaster has caused huge casualties and loss of properties which is tough to be recovered. I hope, the Indonesian government and the courageous people of Indonesia will be able to overcome this loss shortly.

I am praying for the salvation of the departed souls who have been killed in this disaster. I am also extending my sympathy to their families and relatives. Besides, I am praying for quick recovery of the injured victims.
