False cases have been filed against the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Yasin Arafat, its Secretary General Mobarak Hossain, Dhaka city South unit President Shafiul Alam, Sylhet city unit President Nazrul Islam and Sunamganj district president Junayed Al Habib. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 29th September 2018 protesting and condemning the such unjustified actions of the police force.

“Police has filed false cases against the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Yasin Arafat, its Secretary General Mobarak Hossain, Dhaka city South unit President Shafiul Alam, Sylhet city unit President Nazrul Islam and Sunamganj district president Junayed Al Habib just to harass them politically. I am vehemently protesting and condemning the incidents of filing false and politically motivated cases against the Chhatrashibir leaders.

The government has filed false cases and detained the leaders of Islami Chhatrashibir of various levels in order to destroy the leadership structure of this organizations.

The government is arresting the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir from various places across the country as a part of its conspiracy to linger its tyrannical tenure. Such incidents clearly proved that this government is hatching conspiracy to continue office ignoring the electoral process. I am calling upon the countrymen to form resistance against government’s conspiracy to foil the national election.

I am urging the concerned authorities to withdraw the false and intentional cases, filed against the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Yasin Arafat, its Secretary General Mobarak Hossain and to release all the detained party activists immediately.”
