Some masked miscreants came by motorcycles and hurled 3 cocktails on 20 party alliance's mayoral candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul this morning while he was taking preparations to begin a procession following a mass contact at Shagorpara circle of the town. 5 men including a journalist got injuring in this attack. Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan has issued the following statement on 17th July, 2018 protesting and condemning the incident.

"I am severely condemning the terrorist attack on Rajshahi city corporation's mayoral candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul. This attack has been taken place in broad day light and it clearly proved that the government has It utterly failed to create congenial atmosphere for holding a fair election and also to ensure security of the candidates. No one can conduct election campaign properly under such an unsecured atmosphere. It is the duty and responsibilities of the government to ensure a favorable and election friendly atmosphere by ensuring security of both the candidates and the voters.

Finally i am urging the concerned authority to arrest today's attackers who have hurled cocktail on Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and to bring them to the book for ensuring their due punishment.
