Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana ATM Masum has issued the following statement on 11th July, 2018 protesting and gainsaying the report titled ÔRvgvqv‡Zi fvicÖvß Avwgi c` wb‡q Ø›Ø †¯^”QvPvwiZvÕ (‘Extreme debates and arbitrariness centring the post of Acting Ameer in Jamaat-e-Islami’) published in the last page of Daily Amader Shomoy.
“Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is a systematic, democratic and ideological party. This party is being operated as per the party constitution. The concerned reporter of Daily Amader Shomoy mentioned about debates centring the post of Acting Ameer which utterly baseless. Acting Ameer has been appointed according to the constitution. The concerned reporter has published this report just to create mass confusion. I am vehemently condemning such confusing report.
I hope that the authority of Daily Amader Shomoy would be refrained from publishing such false and concocted news against Jamaat-e-Islami and would publish this rejoinder to lessen the public confusion.”
