Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam has issued the following statement on 10th July, 2018 protesting and condemning the unjust arrest of Chittagong South organizational district’s Satkania Upazila Jamaat Secretary Maulana Kamal Uddin.
“Maulana Kamal Uddin is a popular figure. Police has arrested him intentionally. He secured bail in all the cases, which had been filed against him. Despite such bail orders, he has been arrested which is completely unlawful and unjustified. I am condemning such unlawful act of the government and urging the concerned authorities to release Maulana Kamal Uddin immediately.”
