Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Maulana A N M Shamsul Islam has issued the following statement on 13th June, 2018 extending greetings of holy Eid-ul-Fitr to the countrymen.
“The holy month of Ramadan is the glorious month, in which the holy Quran has been revealed. Almighty Allah bestows the humanity with the blessings of holy Quran in order to ensure people’s freedom, welfare and prosperity. The holy month of Ramadan is a sacred gift from Almighty Allah for the mankind, particularly for the Muslims. Almighty Allah intends to purify human mind through the practices and rituals of Ramadan in a bid to enrich them with the virtue of Taqwa. Only such noble human being can act to build a developed, peaceful and welfare state. The state of Madina, which had been established by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon Him), is the exquisite example of such a welfare state. Within the structure of such welfare state, people of all classes, religions, sections and race have the guarantee to perform and enjoy their due rights and justices in all aspects.
The countrymen are experiencing worst ever suppression, torture, terrorism and political oppression now. Particularly the poor and the destitute communities are suffering the worst. The poor and low income people are in suffocating situation due to abnormal price hike of the essential commodities. To get rid of all these crises, the establishment of a welfare state becomes inevitable.
Let us come forward to celebrate holy Eid-ul-Fitr this time with a good intention and determination for establishing a welfare state. May Allah bless us with His special assistances so that we can get rid of torture, repression, turmoil, discomforts and irregularities.
