Member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, party’s Jhalkathi organizational district’s Ex-Ameer and renowned religious speaker and preacher  Maulana Mozammel Hossen Azad has died of old age complications at his house this morning. Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He was 76. He left his wife, 5 sons, 5 daughters and many other relatives. His namaj-e-Janaja was held after the Asr prayer at the Kanudas Fazil Madrasa ground of the Rajapur Upazila under Jhalkathi district. Later he was buried at his family graveyard.

Message of condolence

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Maulana A N M Shamsul Islam has issued the following message of condolence on 1^st June, 2018 expressing deep shock at the death of Maulana Mozammel Hossen Azad.

In the condolence message, Acting Ameer prayed for the deceased saying that, may Allah bless him with mercy and protection. May Allah accept him as His distinguished guest and expand his grave. May Allah turn all his vices into pieties. May Allah accept all his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah.

Acting Ameer also extended deep sympathy for his mournful family and prayed for them so that they can hold patience in this painful period of time.
