Acting Ameer and Secretary General express condolence at the death of Syeda Momotaz Begum

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Sylhet city unit’s former Secretary Syeda Momotaz Begum has died this morning while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Dhaka. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. She was 65. She has left 6 sons, 3 daughters and many other relatives. Her Namaj-e-Janaja (funeral prayer) will be held at 8.30 pm at Hazrah Shahjalal’s dorgah Jame Mosque in Syhet. Later she will be buried over there.

Message of Condolence

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Maulana A N M Shamsul Islam and party’s Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman jointly issued a condolence message on 28th April, 2018 expressing deep shock at the death of Syeda Momotaz Begum.

In the condolence message, the Jamaat leaders prayed to Almighty Allah for the acceptance of all noble and good deeds of late Momotaz Begum. They also extended sympathy to her mournful families and prayed for them so that they can hold patience in this painful period of time.”
