Veteran religious scholar Abu Mokarrem Mohammad Moslem dies; Acting Ameer condoles

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dhaka city South unit’s member, former Secretary General of Bangladesh Chashi Kollan Shomity and the founding principal of Tamirul Millat Madrasa and the resident Dhaka’s Mirhajirbagh Professor Maulana Abu Mokarrem Mohammad Moslem has died of cardiac arrest at his residence this morning at the age of 88. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun.

He has left his wife, 4 sons, two daughters and many other relatives. Beginning from his student life, he was involved with the Islamic movement and discharged various organizational duties in various occasions including Demra Thana Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami.

He has been buried in Mirhajaribagh gravetyard following the funeral prayer (Namaj-e-Janaja) in the afternoon.

Message of condolence

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Maulana A N M Shamsul Islam has issued the following message of condolence on 11th April, 2018 at the death of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dhaka city South unit’s member, former Secretary General of Bangladesh Chashi Kollan Shomity and the founding principal of Tamirul Millat Madrasa Professor Maulana Abu Mokarrem Mohammad Moslem.

In the message of condolence, Acting Ameer prayed for the deceased saying that May Allah bless late Professor Maulana Abu Mokarrem Mohammad Moslem. May Allah protect him. May Allah enlarge his grave and accept him as a distinguished guest of the Jannah. May Allah transform all his sins into pieties. May Allah accept all his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah.

Acting Ameer also extended deep sympathy to the mournful family of the deceased and prayed for them so that they can hold patience in this sorrowful period of time.”
