Central Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 28th October, 2017 protesting and rejecting the false, baseless and ill-motivated report titled “নেতা আমলা পুলিশের জন্য জামায়াতের অশুভ ফাঁদ”  (Jamaat’s intentional trap for the leaders, bureaucrats and policemen) published in Daily Kaler Kantha on 28th October.

“The report which has been published in Daily Kaler Kantha against Jamaat-e-Islami is completely false. This concocted and ridiculous report has been published just to tarnish the image of Jamaat-e-Islami.

The report of Daily Kaler Kantha stated that ahead of the national election, Jamaat has prepared an ill-motivated trap worth of crores of taka for some 20 politicians, top bureaucrats, 50 high officials of the police force, RAB and intelligence agencies in order to create troubles for the government. But this information is nothing but a sheer lie. Concerned reporter of Daily Kaler Kantha has published the report just to create confusion among the peoples. The entire report is fictitious.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is an ideological Islamic organization. Instead of publishing authentic and credible reporting, Daily Kaler Kantha has published such baseless, false and intentional report which has humiliated their image as a whole.

I am calling upon the concerned authority of Daily Kaler Kantha to be refrained from publishing such manipulated news.”
