Kolyan Party’s Secretary General missing since his abduction; Secretary General expresses concern

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 3rd September, 2017 expressing deep concern as Mr. Aminur Rahman, the Secretary General of Bangladesh Kalyan Party has become traceless since his abduction in recent times.

“It is really painful that since the incident of his abduction in recent times, still Bangladesh Kalyan Party’s Secretary General Aminur Rahman is traceless. The fellow citizens are highly tensed and worried with such happenings.

The incident of enforced disappearance of Bangladesh Kolyan Party’s Secretary General, once again proved that the lives and property of the peoples are not safe. Almost a week is being passed since he has been abducted, but still he is not rescued, which is the utmost failure of the law enforcement bodies. The government has to take the liabilities of this tragic incident. Political activists, members, students, youths and businessmen are now being abducted and kidnapped in a planned way. A reign of terror, fear and panic has been created by the rapid incidents of abduction, enforced disappearance, arrest and murders. Human rights are being violated here now rampantly. Such a situation can never be accepted in a civilized and democratic society.

In this backdrop, I am urging the concerned authorities to return back all the victims of forced disappearance and abduction including Bangladesh Kolyan Party’s Secretary General Aminur Rahman, to their families immediately.”
