Jamaat Ameer greets the countrymen on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 23rd June, 2017 extending greetings of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr to the countrymen.

“The month of Ramadan is the holy month when the holy Quran was revealed. Almighty Allah has bestowed the humanity with the blessings of the holy Quran to ensure salvation, freedom, welfare and ultimate peace and happiness. The month of Ramadan is the sacred gift from our Lord, Almighty Allah. With the blessings of the Quran, Almighty Allah wants to refresh our mind and soul and to enrich us with the unique quality of Taqwa (fear of God). Only, the men, blessed with Taqwa can be the guarantee for establishing a developed, peaceful and welfare state. The state of Madina, established by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) is the best example of the aforesaid claim. In such a state, all peoples irrespective of their religion, race and colour, receive due rights and justices.

Right now, the countrymen are experiencing unprecedented repression, torture and political turmoil. The poverty-stricken peoples are facing more exploitation. The sufferings of the general masses know no bounds as the price of the essential commodities have increased alarmingly ever than before. To get rid of such a terrible situation, establishing a welfare state is a must.

Let us celebrate the ensuing Eid-ul-Fitr with a firm determination to establish such a welfare state. May Allah bless our beloved country to eliminate all sorts of troubling elements in bid to restore peace and tranquillity; this is our heartiest prayer to Almighty Allah ahead of this holy occasion.

We have lost our respected and most favourite top leadership along with hundreds of leaders and activists in last couple of years. Many of our associates have become crippled forever. Many of them are passing days amidst severe pains and sufferings because of the continuous repression and harassment. I am praying to Allah for accepting the martyrdom of our top leaders and other activists who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of Islamic movement. May Allah bless their families and all the oppressed party men to hold patience.

I, personally and on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, wish peace and prosperity of the countrymen. I am also extending my sincere and cordial greetings to the peoples on the eve of the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
