Mirza Fakhrul’s motorcade came under ruling party cadre’s attack in Chittagong; Mia Ghulam Parwar condemns

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 18th June, 2017 condemning the attack of the Awami League thugs and their indiscriminate vandalism upon the motorcade of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party’s standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at Isakhali of Rangunia of the Chittagong district on their way to landslide affected area in Rangamati.

“The incident of ruling party hooligan’s attack on the motorcade of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party’s standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at Isakhali of Rangunia of the Chittagong district on their way to landslide affected area in Rangamati, exposed the fascist face of the government.

The attack on Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury is a blow against the democracy and the freedom of speech. This incident also proved that the government is not inclined to reveal the real situation of the landslide affected area to the people. The government do not like the opposition leader’s involvement or relief activities or their visit in the affected area. Neither the government is helping the impoverished people nor let the people to do so.

I am urging the people to raise their voice against the oppression, repression and torture of the government against the opposition forces.”
