Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 26th May, 2017 expressing grave concern as Khulna district BNP’s organizing secretary and Fultola Upazila Council’s former Chairman Sardar Alauddin Mithu and his bodyguard Nowsher Ali Gazi have been murdered by the miscreants on 25th May.
“The murder incident of Khulna district BNP leader Sardar Alauddin Mithu and his bodyguard proves that public life and property is no more secured now. The mayhems of the hooligans are going on nationwide. Misdeeds like abduction, kidnapping, murder and extortion are being taken place alarmingly. Law and order situation is completely out of the government’s control. No country can function in such a way.
It should be mentioned that, Sardar Alauddin Mithu’s father, Sardar Abul Kashem, who was the chairman of Damodor Union council and also his elder brother and former UP chairman Sardar Abu Sayeed Badal had been murdered similarly by the miscreants in 2010.
I am urging the concerned authorities to probe into the murder incident of Khulna district BNP leader Sardar Alauddin and his bodyguard Nowsher Gazi in order to try the murderers and also to ensure their exemplary punishment. Besides, I am praying for the salvation of the deceased souls and extending deep sympathy to their mournful families. May Allah bless them with patience to bear this intolerable shock.”
