Jamaat Ameer again urges to ensure Begum Khaleda Zia’s treatment in abroad

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has expressed deep concern over the news of BNP chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s critical health condition and her subsequent admission to a city hospital. In a statement issued on 31st March, 2024 Jamaat Ameer further said, Begum Khaleda Zia should be released on parole in order to ensure her appropriate treatment in abroad.

As Begum Khaleda Zia became critically sick once again, so she should be allowed to take treatment in abroad as per her choice. This issue should be considered from humanitarian perspective. Politics should not be done centering her treatment. It is her constitutional right to receive proper treatment. So, I am urging the government not to make any further delay and also to take immediate legal measures to send her in abroad for better treatment. I am also praying for her quick recovery.
