We should remain far away from Shirq and Bidat centering the grave of Allama Sayedee, says Acting Ameer

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Allama Delwar Hossain Sayedee Rahimahullah has millions of fans and followers both in home and abroad. After tolerating tortures, repression and detention for 13 years he has taken his last breath which shocked the people. Many people from the country and foreign countries have prayed for them. We also came to know that some of his fans started kissing his grave, bursting into tears and brough soil from his graveyard. These kinds of activities are tantamount of Shirq and Bidat (innovation). We must keep ourselves away from these practices.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while addressing a virtual workers’ conference organized by Narail district Jamaat-e-Islami today. District Ameer and central Majlish-e-Shura member Ataur Rahman Bachchu presided over the conference which was hosted by district secretary and central Majlish-e-Shura member Maulana Obaidullah Kaisar.

Acting Ameer said, Allama Sayedee was vocal throughout his life against worshipping the graves. He also warned us about these ill-deeds as per the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah. So, we are warning you please do not get involved with Shirq. May Allah allow us to lead a life, free from Shirq and Bidat. Ameen.

Citing the Hadith, Acting Ameer stated that, no trip is allowed with the solo purpose of visiting a grave. Allama Sayedee has established many other institutions in Pirojpur as well. If someone go to visit those institutions and at that time if he makes an attempt to visit the grave, then there is no problem. Acting Ameer stated that Allama Sayedee and all our leaders have become the victims of judicial killing. We will get the justice in the hereafter insha Allah.

Acting Ameer said, this government to be dethroned through massive movement in order to secure the voting and other basic rights of the people. He urged the party manpower to be inspired with the power of faith.

Special guest and Jamaat’s central executive committee member Mobarak Hossain said, when religious activities intensify, the ill-deeds of the vested forces increase as well. The incumbent government already started plotting conspiracy against the nation just to stay in power. The countrymen have to foil all those heinous plots. He urged the party activists to build their lives as per the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.

Among others, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s team member Dr. Alamgir Bishash, former district Ameer Maulana Mirza Asheq Ilahi, district Nayeb-e-Ameer Badsha Mia, Abul Bashar and others spoke on the occasion.
