Acting Ameer seeks prayers for the recovery of former MP and veteran Jamaat leader Principal Maulana Abdul Khaleq

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 11th July 2023 seeking prayer for the recovery of severely sick former Ameer of Satkhira district Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Principal Maulana Abdul Khaleq Mondol.

Former MP Principal Maulana Abdul Khaleq Mondol became very sick inside the prison. Right now, he is undertaking treatment in a hospital. I am urging the organization, countrymen and expatriate brothers and sisters to offer special prayer seeking quick recovery of this veteran leader. May Allah bless him with earliest recovery, Ameen.

Former MP Principal Maulana Abdul Khaleq Mondol has been kept behind the bar for last 8 years in connection with a false case filed with the International Crimes Tribunal. He is suffering from various complicated diseases. But he is not receiving proper treatment. I am urging the concerned authorities to release him immediately so that he can get due treatment in the company of his family.
