Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 7th July 2023 extending thanks to the fellow countrymen including the religious scholars and Muslim devotees and the administration for making the peaceful demonstration successful which has been declared by Jamaat-e-Islami protesting the incident of burning the holy Quran in Sweden.
A copy of the holy Quran has been burnt in Sweden on last 28th June. Protesting the incident, Jamaat-e-Islami declared peaceful demonstration across the country on 7th July, Friday. The programs have been implemented peacefully. The peaceful Muslim devotees took to the street for preserving the dignity of the holy Quran. By making the peaceful demonstration programs successful, the people of Bangladesh proved that they are ready to accept any challenge to preserve and protect the sanctity of the holy Quran.
