United effort is mandatory to restore caretaker government system, says Acting Ameer

Jamaat activists have to work sincerely to ensure the salvation and well-being of the humanity. Personal ethical standard has to be increased to meet the demands of faith. The organization is to be expanded through Dawah activities and public support. Jamaat activists have to play key role in different phases of the movement. Jamaat leaders and activists have to act to preserve nation’s independence and sovereignty and also to secure voting rights. United effort is a must to restore caretaker government system- which is also essential for holding an acceptable election.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while addressing the workers’ conference organized by Sirajganj district Jamaat-e-Islami. Sirajganj district Ameer Maulana Shahinur Alam presided over the program which was hosted by district secretary Maulana Zahidul Islam. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Bogra region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim addressed the conference as the special guest. Among others, Bogra region’s team member Maulana Abdur Rahim, Pabna district Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mondol, Sirajganj district Nayeb-e-Ameer Md. Ali Alam, Maulana Abdus Salam, Sirajganj city Chhatrashibir president Tariqul Islam and district Shibir president Alhaj Uddin addressed the program.

He condemned the incident of burning the holy Quran in Sweden and urged the government to place a proposal of condemnation in the parliament officially. He also called upon the Jamaat activists to work with the heartiest desire of martyrdom.

Assistant Secretary General and Bogra region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said, we are the follower of the Prophets in the way of the Islamic movement. So, we have to be morally and ethically strong in discharging these duties. He condemned the repeated incident of re-arresting Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and great son of the soil of Sirajganj Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan. He also demanded immediate release of all Jamaat leaders and religious scholars including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam and Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar. He also asked the party’s manpower to take part in the Jamaat declared programs wholeheartedly.

Maulana Shahinur Alam thanked all the concerned personalities for making the conference successful. He also called upon to strengthen the party activities and also in the ongoing movement for restoring the caretaker government system.
