Fair election is not possible without a caretaker government, says Acting Ameer

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Award like the award of Jihad is guaranteed in performing Ibadah if it is performed in the first 10 days of Zil hajj. So, we have to observe more Ibadah in these days. We have to be the dearest servant of Allah and simultaneously the genuine follower of the Prophet (peace be upon Him). We will follow what we listen. The evil deeds of the society to be replaced with good deeds. We have to tackle the injustice with the power of justice.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while virtually addressing the workers’ conference of Gaibandha district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Ameer and Sadar Upazila’s former chairman Abdul Karim presided over the program which was hosted by district Secretary Maulana Johurul Haq Sarkar.

He said, we are praising Allah as He allow us to be a part of the Islamic movement like Jamaat-e-Islami. We have to continue Iqamat-e-Deen by sacrificing lives and wealth. Life is the combination of time and we have to utilize this time properly. We have to allocate maximum time for this movement. Gaibandha district is potential land for the Islamic movement and you should try to make the best use of this land.

He said welfare state is not possible without a Zakat-based society. The government is causing pains for the people by increasing prices of the essentials. Fair election is not possible without a caretaker government. From that realization, Awami League had taken part in the movement with Jamaat-e-Islami for establishing caretaker government system. But they cancel the system this time because of their greed for power. No fair election had ever held under the regime of Sheikh Hasina. So, it is clearly evident that fair election is not possible without a caretaker government.

Addressing the program as the special guest, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said, the basic three activities of the Islamic movement is Dawah, organization and training. Islamic movement is a movement in which life is built as per the directives of the Quran and Sunnah. We have to be humanitarian and fearless. We should play a pro-active role in bringing positive changes in the society.

Among others, Jamaat’s working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, Gaibandha district’s former Ameer Dr. Abdur Rahim Sarkar, district Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdul Wares and Professor Majedur Rahman, district’s Majlish-e-Shura member and recently released veteran leader Maulana Nazrul Islam, district Chhatrashibir president Noman Abdullah and Engineer Mofakkharul Islam, the son of former district Ameer and former MP late Maulana Abdul Aziz addressed on the occasion.
