Secretary General meets nor’wester victim families in Gaibandha; provides financial assistances

At least 12 people including several women, children and aged ones have been killed in a nor ’wester on last 4 April in Gaibandha district. On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, financial assistances provided to the victim families today. Party’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar met the victim family members physically today.

Professor Mia Golam Porwar at that time said, it was the obligation of the government to take stand by the side of the helpless and distressed people. But due to government’s negligence and reluctances, these families received no assistance so far. Jamaat-e-Islami as per its capacity is trying to help them. The human being is supposed to seek more favor from Almighty Allah during trial and turbulence. The holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) also gave us such guideline.

Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Rangpur-Dinajpur regional team member and Gaibandha district’s former Ameer Dr. Abdur Rahim Sarkar, central Majlish-e-Shura member, Gaibandha district Jamaat Ameer and GaibandhaSadarUpazila’s former chairman Md. Abdul Karim, district Nayeb-e-Ameer and SundarganjUpazila council’s former chairman Professor Mazedur Rahman, district Secretary Maulana JohurulHaq Sarkar, district working council member Faisal Kabir Rana, SundarganjUpazila Ameer Shahidul Islam Monju, SadarUpazila Ameer Dr. Abdul Hamid, PolashbariUpazila Ameer Abubakar Siddique, GobindaganjUpazila Ameer Maulana Abdul Bari, SadarUpazila Secretary Nurunnabi Sarkar and other local Jamaat leaders accompanied the Secretary General on the occasion.
