Urges OIC and the Muslim world to take strong action against anti-Islam conspiracies

Swedish politicians burn a copy of the holy Quran; Acting Ameer condemns

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 22nd January 2023 protesting and condemning the incident of burning the holy Quran at Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

In front of the embassy of Turkiye in Stockholm of Sweden, a far-right extreme party leader burnt a copy of the holy Quran which has irreparably hurt the religious sentiment of Muslims across the world. On behalf of the people of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, we are vehemently condemning the incident.

We have been observing with great concern that, deep-rooted conspiracies are being plotted against Islam and Muslims in various countries of the world. As a part of the same heinous attempts, the holy Quran has been burnt in Sweden, which is a huge blow against the Muslim sentiment.

We are urging the Swedish government to arrest all the people, who were involved in the incident of burning the holy Quran. Besides, we are calling upon OIC and the Muslim world to raise voices against the ongoing conspiracies against Islam.
