Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 29th April 2022 extending greetings to the fellow countrymen on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
The month of Ramadan, in which the Holy Quran has been revealed, is bidding farewell to us. Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching following a month-long training of exercising Almighty Allah’s directives in our personal, social, and national lives and also aboutbecoming motivated with the spirit of Taqwa (fear of Allah).
We are going to experience this occasion in such a period when it becomes extremely difficult for low-income people to lead their lives due to excessive price hikes of the essentials. Law and order situation has deteriorated alarmingly. People are being killed in broad daylight. Under such an atmosphere, I am extending greetings of Eid-ul-Fitr to the countrymen in a saddened mood.
I am urging the people to celebrate the occasion through mutual assistance and cooperation. I am praying to Allah to improve this situation. May Allah save us and bestow mercy on our country and our fellow countrymen.
I, personally and on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, wish peace, happiness, good health, and safety of the people. Besides, I am extending my sincere greetings to all the countrymen on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
