Jamaat Ameer recalls the contribution of Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid; urges activists to accomplish his unfinished tasks

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 21 November 2020 recalling the contributions and sacrifices of former Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami and former Minister for Social Welfare Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.

Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid has played a pivotal and historic role in all democratic movements of the country. His contribution in establishing rule of law, justices, human rights, people’s voting rights and launching welfare society is undeniable.

During the 4-party alliance’s regime from 2001-2006, he served the nation successfully as Social Welfare Minister. He discharged his duties with honesty, transparency and skills. He set an example of performing ministerial jobs without corruption.

Being failed to tackle Jamaat-e-Islami politically, the government hatched a conspiracy to destroy the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami and as such they sued the cases of crimes against humanity against Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid. They produced their own party men as false witnesses and sentenced him to death.

Finally, he was executed on 12:55 am on 22nd November in 2015. The authority has made an extreme injustice by hanging him unlawfully. Based on the sacrifices of Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid and other leaders, Insha Allah Islamic rules will be established in this country in future.

May Allah accept Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid as martyr and bless him with Jannah. I am urging the manpower, leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami to work really hard to accomplish the unfinished tasks of Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.
