Terrorist attack on Jamaat-e-Islami’s Pro-Kashmir rally in Karachi; Jamaat Ameer condemns

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 6 August 2020 protesting and condemning the recent terrorist attack in a Pro-Kashmir march in the Gulshan-i-Iqbal area organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), one of Pakistan's major religious parties.

Dozens of people have been wounded after a grenade explosion at a pro-Kashmir march in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi on 5th August evening. According to the statement of the provincial Health Department, at least 39 people were wounded, including one person who was in a critical condition. We are expecting that the government of Pakistan would investigate into the incident within short span of time to identify and punish the offenders. The criminals must be awarded with exemplary punishment.

We are praying for the quickest recovery of the wounded people and extending deep sympathy to their families.
