Jamaat Ameer and Acting Secretary General strongly condemn Houthi’s missile targeting Makkah

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maqbul Ahmad and party’s Acting Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman have jointly issued the following statement on 2nd November, 2016 condemning and expressing deep concern over Yemen’s Houthi rebel’s missile attack targeting Makkah, the holy city.

The incident of attacking missile targeting the holy city of Makkah by the Houthi rebels is very objectionable. The city of Makkah is regarded as the holy place to all the Muslims around the world. For the Muslim communities, the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah are more favorite places even than to their lives. So these two holy places should be placed above everything. Everyone should be concerned and aware about the protection and sanctity of these two holy cities.

No decent human being can attack a holy site. No Muslim can tolerate even any such attack targeting the holy city of Makkah. The groups, who have committed such acts, must seek forgiveness unconditionally.

The government of the Saudi Arabia and the Muslim world should be remained alert and cautious so that no one can dare to commit such crime again in future.”
