Professor Mujib protests false news of Bangladesh Pratidin against Jamaat Ameer

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 3rd December, 2016 protesting a false report of Bengali Daily ‘Bangladesh Pratidin’ implicating Jamaat Ameer Maqbul Ahmad.

“The investigation team of the international crimes tribunal allegedly claimed that Maqbul Ahmad’s name was enlisted in the list of Razakar of the Feni district, which is completely false and fabricated.

I want to assert that Mr. Maqbul Ahmad was not involved with any auxiliary forces including Razakar and Al Shams. So no question is emanated about the existence of his name in the alleged list of Razakars. Mr. Maqbul Ahmad did not commit any crimes against humanity. The allegations of his involvement with any such crimes are totally vindictive and result of conspiracies. False campaign and propaganda is being carried out against him in a bid to tarnish his image.

I am urging the concerned sections to be refrained from carrying out false and baseless propaganda against Maqbul Ahmad.”
