Financial assistance provided to Kushtia fire victims

It is our religious obligation to take stand by the side of the disaster victims

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said, it is our moral and religious obligation to take the side of impoverished people. From such responsibility, we have come to you. Please pray for us and help comprehensively to turn Jamaat-e-Islami into a strong organisation. Jamaat-e-Islami has helped the people in various disastrous situation and will continue to do so in the upcoming days.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said this while addressing an event in which financial assistance were provided among the fire victims of Veramara Upazila under Kushtia district. District Ameer Professor Maulana Abul Hashem presided over the program. Jamaat's central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region's coordinator Mobarak Hossain and central Majlish-e-Shura member Khandaker AK Ali Mohsin addressed the program as special guests. Some 40 victim families were provided assistance from this event.

Mobarak Hossain said, all tests and tribulations are like exams from Almighty Allah. We have to remain patient during such trial and tribulations. In such adversities, we should invoke assistance and blessings from Allah only.

Kushtia district's Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdul Gafur, district secretary Professor Shuja Uddin Zoardar, Assistant secretary Khairul Islam and Nurul Amin were also present during the occasion.
