The oppressor’s oppression is not permanent, says Maulana Abdul Halim

No election under the tenure of the current oppressor regime was fair, credible and free. The people have no confidence upon the government. In 2014, the government deceived the people in the name of an election of formalities. The government will be forced to step down and also hand over power to the caretaker government through a massive movement. Accordingly, severe movement to be launched against the government with the all-out participation of the people.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said while addressing a leadership conference organized by Panchagar district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Ameer Professor Iqbal Hossain presided over the conference which was attended by district’s working committee members, Upazila Ameer and secretaries. Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member, Panchagar Sadar Upazila’s former chairman and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Maulana Abdul Khaleq also addressed the conference.

Recalling the memories of Allama Sayedee (Rahimahullah), he said the government has pushed Allama Sayedee towards death by depriving him from treatment. These crimes will be tried in the hereafter. Maulana Sayedee never surrendered before the oppression. Rather he preferred an isolated life inside the prison. He has passed 13 long years as sick inside the jail. He did not receive due treatment. His family was not allowed to ensure his treatment. Even his family members and followers are being sued in connection with false cases. We want to warn the government saying that the oppressor’s oppression is not permanent and it will not sustain in the long run. We should follow the example which had been set by Allama Sayedee for the Islamic movement. The activities of the Islamic movement should be intensified in the upcoming days as well.
