The government has turned the nation into a failure state, says Professor Mujibur Rahman

Our beloved motherland Bangladesh is crossing a critical juncture. There is no democracy, freedom of speech in the country. The government has turned the entire nation into a failed state because of its own failures.

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has said this while addressing a workshop of union president, municipality/ward presidents organized by Shariatpur district Jamaat-e-Islami.

He further said that the activities of the Islamic movement should be taken ahead ignoring all fears and intimidations. He demanded immediate release of all detained activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar.

Shariatpur district Ameer presided over the workshop. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General, former MP and Faridpur region’s coordinator AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim and Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal addressed the workshop as the special guests. Among others, Faridpur region’s team member Shamsul Islam Al Borati, Maulana Khalilur Rahman spoke on the occasion. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and district Nayeb-e-Ameer KM Maqbul Hossain and district secretary Muhammad Shahabuddin hosted the workshop.
