The government led by Sheikh Hasina is mulling to hold another farcical election like 2014 and 2018. But the countrymen will not let to happen so. There is no way to participate any election under the current regime. Jamaat will not take part in any election without a caretaker government.

A view exchanging meeting was held with Union Ameer and secretaries of Mithapukur Upazila of Rangpur district on 23rd July Sunday. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said this while addressing this meeting. Mithapukur Upazila Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdul Baten Harun presided over the program which was hosted by Upazila secretary Asaduzzaman Shimul.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, 10 of our top leaders have accepted martyrdom as they became victim of repression of this government. 5 of them have been executed and 4 have died in the prison cell. Our leaders have sacrificed their lives but never bowed down before the ill-forces. We also have to remain firm despite all tortures and repression and to move towards ultimate success.

Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s assistant coordinator Maulana Momtaz Uddin, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Rangpur district Ameer Golam Rabbani and district secretary Maulana Enamul Haq addressed the program.
