Magura district Jamaat-e-Islami organized a leadership program on 25th July afternoon demanding restoration of the caretaker government system, immediate release of the party leaders and for curbing the price hike of the essentials. Magura district Ameer Professor MB Baker presided over the program, which was hosted by district secretary. Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain addressed the program as the chief guest.

Since the inception, Jamaat has been operating its activities peacefully and systematically. Jamaat also proved it by holding peaceful rally in the capital on last 10th June. We want to assure the countrymen and the administration that if the administration cooperates, we will hold processions in cities and towns on 28th July and in district level on 30th July and massive rally on 1st August in the capital Dhaka peacefully as well. He urged the leaders to make the declared programs successful by ensuring the participation of the people.

He claimed, there is not a single election which has been held under the current regime freely and fairly. Awami League has snatched people’s voting rights away by holding farcicial election in 2014 and 2018. People have no trust and confidence upon this government. The whole nation is united to press the demand of restoring caretaker government. Jamaat will not take part in any election without a caretaker government.

Among others, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s assistant coordinator Abdul Matin and central Majlish-e-Shura member and regional team member Dr. Alamgir Bishash were present in the program.
