Hamidur Rahman Azad urges authorities to bring missing Jamaat leader back to his family
Saturday, 05th November, 2016

Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 5th November, 2016 urging the concerned authorities to bring Jamaat-e-Islami’s member and Jhinaidah district town’s Kalicharanpur Union secretary Md. Masudur Rahman back to his family immediately.

The family and relatives are eagerly waiting for a safe return of Md. Masudur Rahman. They are passing days amid severe tension and worries.

The plainclothes personnel claiming themselves as policemen had picked up Mr. Masudur Rahman on last 8th August, 2016 when he was visiting a relative’s house in Aamtonnohata village under Sripur Upazila of the neighboring Magura district. The local people immediately rushed to the nearest police station seeking his trace. But the police authorities denied his arrest claim. Since 8th August, he has been remaining missing and traceless. Nobody knows his whereabouts. As a result, we all are extremely worried and deeply tensed with his life.

In this backdrop, I am urging the concerned authorities to bring Jamaat-e-Islami’s member and Jhinaidah district town’s Kalicharanpur Union secretary Md. Masudur Rahman back to his family immediately.”
