Tasnim Alam denounces the false report of Dhaka Tribune; terms the news as ‘ill motivated’
Thursday, 03rd November, 2016

Central Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 3rd November, 2016 protesting the false information published in the online news portal dhakatribune today implicating Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir with the incident of attacking the Hindu temples and establishments in Madhabpur of the Habiganj district on last 30th October.

“Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir have no connection with with the incident of attacking the Hindu temples and establishments in Madhabpur of the Habiganj district. Such false information has been published in Dhaka Tribune with an ill motive to tarnish the image of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir.

I want to assert that Jamaat has no connection with the Ajob Khan of Horiprashadpur and Montola station mosque’s Imam Mahbub. It should be mentioned that on last 2nd November, issuing a statement Jamaat’s Asssiatnt Secretary General and former member of the Parliament Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has urged the authorities concerned to investigate into the incident of attacks on Hindu establishments which have been taken place in Nasirnagar of Brahmanbaria, Madhabpur of Habiganj and Gopalganj district and to ensure exemplary punishment to those personnel who were involved with such attacks. Even though the false information published in the online news portal dhakatribune implicating Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir is nothing but a false propaganda. A vested quarter always started ill-campaign against Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir immediate after a wrongdoing which helps the real criminals to remain behind the curtain.

Finally I am urging the authority of Dhaka Tribune to be refrained from publishing such false and confusing information in the days to come against Jamaat-e-Islami and expecting that they would publish this rejoinder in tomorrow's edition properly to lessen the mass confusion.
